NO LEAD, NO FOLLOW Jamica and Adam
THE MUSIC MADE ME DO IT Jamica and Adam
It’s back! This two-part signature class from Adam and Jamica uses games to explore leading and following and the conversation within the music in a fun new way. Taught from the perspective of two queer dancers, it offers a fresh and exciting take on partner dynamics and how to use mutual empowerment and the music to be the coolest dance partner anyone could ever hope for. Yes, you will be dancing the majority of this class!
This class will taught to both intermediate and advanced tracks, with the same ideas but more advanced concepts for the advanced track
Sunday Electives CLASSES:
Jam Circles Are for Everyone
All Levels
Have you ever been a part of a Jam Circle? —it is a moment of pure, joyful celebration on the dance floor. And guess what? It’s for you, too.
In this all-levels class, we’ll break down what jam circles are, how to navigate them with confidence, and how to throw down in your own unique way—whether you’re dancing solo, with a partner, or just vibing with the crowd.
We’ll cover:
How to enter (and exit!) a jam circle
Ways to support others from the sidelines
Building confidence and having fun with improvisation
You don’t have to be flashy or fearless to join the jam—you just need curiosity and a little groove. Come find your spotlight, your cheering section, and your own way to shine.
Because jam circles really are for everyone—including you.
ARTS & CRAFTS: RHYTHMIC FEEL AND FEELING Andrea and Andy
What’s the difference between craft and art? In this class we’ll identify different rhythmic feels we often hear bands play. Then, we will work together to lose ourselves in them.
SOME JAZZ MUSIC CHEAT CODE (Music Structure) Andrea and Andy
This is a nuts and bolts class. Ever feel like you watch someone and they seem to know every song, no matter the song? The music we often hear of has similar structures. Familiarizing yourself with them can help free up your brain to listen to other details, and focus on other things.
The M word: MOVES! Jamica and Adam
WHAT? A moves class!? That’s right! Sometimes you just need a bunch of new ideas to get your creative juices flowing! Let us show you as many of our favorite snazzy jazzy’s as we can fit into the hour
Freestyle Frankenstein: Build your own new moves out of old grooves! Jamica and Adam
Another game based class with structured building blocks to help you explore how to create original steps in Lindy you’ve never seen before! Break your habits and get creative, we can show you how!
